INTRODUCTION
FarmForAfrica signifies a commitment towards the upliftment of people, nations, and a continent, through the implementation of a mentorship program where agricultural and administrative skills are transferred to local people within an economical sustainable agricultural project.
Focused to provide in the needs of local agriculture, this project will benefit the agricultural sector of the whole region and have definite national off-spins.
It is not a social support initiative where provisions and money ends in a bottomless well, but it is a development model, where skills are transferred from experienced people to local individuals on a one-to-one basis. Willing mentors will dedicate themselves to this initiative in an effort to assist the establishing of commercial agriculture.
VISION
The project is focused on the upliftment of the African people, through the implementation of a mentorship program where agricultural and administrative skills are transferred to local people within an economical sustainable agricultural environment.
“A foreigner may help and encourage, but true change is only brought about by a countries own people.” That is why we believe in the long term investment into a generation of local commercial farmers.
If we can establish a new generation of local commercial farmers, with the appropriate infrastructure, markets and support, it will trigger a multiplication effect as one generation mentors the next.
OBJECTIVES
- Establishing of necessary infrastructure to encourage future agricultural development in the region.
- Establishing of a open market system accessible to all producers
- The development of local commercial farmers, farming villages and subsistence farmers through training, mentoring, and the provision of equipment and infrastructure
- Encourage the increased utilization of agricultural land in an economical sustainable way.
- Assist in the establishing of national food security by increasing the availability of food at reduced prices
- The reduction of essential food imports and the increase of food exports
