Management Profile: Mr Scott Gaskell
Scott is a cofounder and Director of S&P Minerals LLC. He brings over 10 years of trading experience in the Derivatives, Energy, Fixed Income and Commodities markets. Scott has developed direct relationships with several of the world’s largest institutions on projects related to trading and risk management of energy products, precious metals and gemstones, fixed income products, and equity derivatives. Prior to founding S&P Minerals, Scott was a proprietary trader and Equity Option Specialist for Van Der Moolen Holdings in Philadelphia. Van Der Moolen is an international securities trading and brokerage firm active in securities, futures, derivatives indexes and exchange traded funds and they are active on most of the important securities exchanges in the United States and Europe. VDM had 147M in trading revenue in 2008 and had total assets of
1.8B. Scott was responsible for day to day trading and strategy of over 20 equity options as the specialist and had profit and loss responsibility over all indexes and equities options he traded. Scott also has a diverse real estate background includes site development and analysis, planning and design, zoning and entitlements, project management, marketing, contract negotiations for both residential and commercial development, residential construction and public agency interaction. Scott has raised capital and equity for multiple real estate projects. Scott planned and structured financing for a Mixed Used Development next to Kansas Speedway consisting of 1 billion dollars in construction. Scott received his B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania in 1998.
